Bik asked me to do a schematic of a cheetah head, so, here it is. The main mass of the cheetah's skull is a tight sphere of bone and muscle. To make this picture, I started with photos of cheetah skulls. I used them to create a mock-up of a cheetah head using rough cross-sections in 3DS Max. Then I worked on tracing paper over print-outs of four views of this frame. |

the proportions on all the frames look very symettrical, the cheetah, after all is a very sleek, and streamlined animal. you captured it's grace very well with these sketches.
